How does flashlight works

Components of a Flashlight:

  1. Case:
    • The body of the flashlight, which holds all the other components. It is typically made from plastic or metal for durability.
  2. Batteries:
    • The power source of the flashlight. Most flashlights use either standard disposable batteries (such as AA, AAA, C, or D cells) or rechargeable batteries.
  3. Switch:
    • A mechanism used to turn the flashlight on and off and sometimes to switch between different modes of operation (e.g., high light, low light, SOS mode).
  4. Contacts:
    • A series of electrical conductors that connect the batteries to the light source and the switch, ensuring that electricity flows through the flashlight.
  5. Light Bulb/LED:
    • The source of light in a flashlight. Traditionally, this was a small incandescent bulb, but most modern flashlights use LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) because they are more efficient, durable, and have a longer lifespan.
  6. Reflector:
    • A plastic or metal component that sits around the light source. Its function is to reflect light rays from the light source into a focused beam.
  7. Lens:
    • A clear protective cover over the light source and reflector. It protects the inner components from dust, dirt, and impact while also helping to focus the light into a beam.
